RBS question

Options
We recently contacted Royal Bank of Scotland as we intended to use our new 0% on balance transfers deal Barclaycard to clear the RBS card. They informed us that they do not accept payments from other credit cards only credit cards. Has anyone else had this problem? Im concerned that this will present problems with other card tarting in the future..?

  • I have an RBS Card and just before xmas moved all my debt to Virgin it all went through without any problems, so I don't know of any problems. I did have a letter before xmas though that said the RBS (if I signed Something) would give me 0% on new purchases till end of Feb 09 so maybe its because of this deal?

    Hope this helps
    Total debt £15,110

    You're asking the wrong provider!

You'll need to ask Barclaycard to transfer the balance from RBS.
  • You can't "pay off" an RBS credit card, with another credit card (this is what you must have done if you rang up RBS)

What YorkshireBoy said is correct - you'd have to ring Barclaycard and ask to "transfer a balance" - that should do it :)
Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion :p

Remember that Barclaycard usually apply a Balance Transfer fee of around 3% of the balance transferred.
