Backing up DS games

Hi

My kids have a number of ds games and are constantly losing them so I have bought a dstt card to try and back up their games so they can play on the back ups and keep the originals safe.

I have searched online and found various guides which work to a point. I have formatted the memory card and copies the nintendo wifi backup tool and other info needed. I have also downloaded an ftp server (smallftp) to my desktop and set it up with the same ini info on the dswifi tool. When I try to copy a game, the ds connects with my router wifi but it then says it cannot connect with the ftp and to confirm the ini. I have checked the info over and over and cannot see anything amiss.

I would appreciate any information as to what might be causing this. I am only using this to copy our own games.

Thanks
