i have had a slight set back on this challenge and lost £150 by making an error on matched betting. feel a bit gutted but will work hard to try and make this up over the next week or two.0

£50 from mystery shopping.0

Oh pebblespop, thats horrible, about the matched betting error! Even tho I've been doing it for a year now, on and off, I always have my heart in my mouth.... aside from last Saturday, when I put a £6 bet on at jaxx to use up those points, and I knew there was about £30k in lay bets waiting at betfair. And the odds were 0.02 different - that was pretty good .... but not exactly big time money. At least you've got a nice hefty mystery shop income there.
I was thinking about this challenge the other day .... I don't post nearly enough on here, but looking at my list of where my £370odd money has come from, recent money (in the last month) is:
- £10 from each of my scratchcards.
- £10 Amazon voucher from Toluna
- £2 from bulk buying bus tickets!
- £6 from quidco
- £5.93 from that Jaxx bet.
- £38.33 from a totesport matched bet.
- £12 mystery shopping
- £5 Amazon sales (another £13 to come from last week).
- £59 from party bets.
- and ta-da!!!! - £77 from an "other income" element on the matched betting front.
I really have to post more frequently. ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Another few sales for me so thats another £40 to add, I still need to get a few things on eBay or do a boot fair (which is preferable) when it warms up a bit!Sealed pot Member target £200 - No. 151

Still struggling on, here.
Evans, this challenge is about earning extra money and I only count what isn't associated with work, so maybe you could look at it as being an essential £1000 instead of an extra £1000. Mine doesn't make it into savings, it goes towards my annual cost of living expenditure for stuff I can't afford to budget for in the first place
Ouch! Pebblespop, sorry about the mb 'error', I guess that's why I haven't gone down that route.
Karmacat, isn't it nice seeing all the little bits and pieces accumulate to amount to 'something' rather than it coming and going unnoticed? Well done, keep up the good work.
My total is only what it is because of a cash gift and a small win on Premium Bonds but the cashback is playing a major role, too. Expecting more before the end of the 100 days, so might be a little closer to my elusive target this time than last.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

It is hard, isn't it, sometimes. But thats a big OUCH, nykmedia. I wonder about that too. As in my sig, my mortgage overpayments (which come entirely from this sort of dfw work) are now up to £4,600, which isn't far off from the capital still owing on my loan. But until very recently, with interest rates and self employment being what they were, it paid me more to pay off the mortgage than the loan, so my accountant told me. Plus, being self employed, if I need to get that money back cos I "can't afford to live", then I can get it from the mortgage - but I couldn't get it if I paid it off a loan. Scary stuff.Karmacat, isn't it nice seeing all the little bits and pieces accumulate to amount to 'something' rather than it coming and going unnoticed? Well done, keep up the good work.
Thanks! I put it all into one account, and overpay when it reaches the right sum.My total is only what it is because of a cash gift and a small win on Premium Bonds but the cashback is playing a major role, too. Hi everyone, still around although not really getting very far with things at the mo as v busy with other stuff. That said,my decluttering is throwing up some stuff I can sell so sorting it into piles as I go (car boot, Ebay etc). I will steel myself to try and put something on Ebay this week, start the ball rolling.
Hope everyone's doing well, have read some posts but not all I'm afraid. Sorry to hear about the MB error Pepplespop, hope you can claw it back. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

i will still keep going to finish the challenge. I have plenty more matched betting to go at and hopefully i won't make the same mistake twice - fingers crossed!0

Pebblespop, sorry to hear about your MBing error... I was close to losing a couple of hundred once but managed to fix it so I only lost a few £s instead.
I have officially reached the £1000 mark - £1029 to be precise. I will keep going though, and hope to reach £1500.0
