I was thinking of this as well so that I can ring Tracy up when she gets lost in the maze of slot machines. Looked at Fry's website and the cheapest phones I saw were $99. would our unlocked mobiles work if we just bought sim cards?

I think I paid $19.95 for mine and $29.95 for the missus both with $10 of airtime for the gas station about 3 miiles South of Mandalay Bay

Is that the 7/11 by the cowboy boot store, or not as far as that? I think there is a Terribles down that way as well.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thanks for the link, I think I downloaded that one earlier tonight. Thought there would be more on the net to be honest.

Anyway, I've made a few Tomtom POI files myself tonight, based on the Las Vegas area:

    * Shops - Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Kmart, Borders, Frys, Target, Walmart, Walgreens
    * Restaurants - Chili's, IHOP, In-N-Out, Krispy Kreme, Cheesecake Factory
    * Hotels - Most of them in one list

If anyone wants a copy of these, send me a PM and I'll email them to you.

Found a decent website tonight for TomTom POIs:

    http://www.tomtomforums.com/usa-pois/

It's not just Vegas, so may come in handy if anyone's planning a US roadtrip.

I am also interested in learning this. Is it possible to buy a sim card with some credit and use it (like in the UK) with a triband unlocked phone?

    TIA.
