IVA / SMP help!!
Hi all - I'm hoping someone can help me!!
I'm currently into my second year of my IVA, and all has been going well. Now I've discovered that I'm pregnant and worrying about how this is going to affect everything, as whilst I'm on maternity leave I'm obviously not going to be able to afford the payments that I'm making at the moment.
I'm sorry if this is a really silly question, but does anyone have any experience / advice?!
Thanks
Nikki

I am in the same boat as you. Our first is due in April and my salary will be reduced to SMP in July, the end of year 4 of 5 (after being told that my PCOS would make it very hard to conceive naturally and choosing to hold out for fertility treatment until the IVA was completed and Iwas debt free   ) Please talk to your IVA provider. Mine was originally with Debtmatters who were, frankly, crap but its now with Payplan who are fantastic! I am able to take a 12 month break as my monthly outgoings are going to be higher than my SMP (OH and I currently pay everything 50/50 so poor thing has to pay more going forward) This may not be the same across the board though.
Good luck, it will be fine.2013 wins: Persil Bunny0
