Weather in Spain at Easter

Hi there, am hoping to go away at Easter, can anyone tell me what the weather will be like around that time? Has anyone got any favourite parts of Spain as I don't know it very well.
Thanks
Na

your best to stick to southern spain for the weather, the costa del sol is probably the best bet. My gran lived there for years and I always had good weather when we visited at easter time.

    Thanks

Weather in the Costa del Sol is normally pretty good around Easter, certainly warmer than here.

Nerja is one of the nicest places in the Costa del Sol, not commercialised and still very Spanish

Like somebody has already said, you really need to stick to Southern Spain (Andalucia) for the best chance of guaranteed sun in April. I'd go anywhere on the South Coast. The exact location depends on what kind of holiday you're looking for. Of course if you prefer the typical brit beach holiday, then you can't really beat the Costa del sol. If you want something a lot more cultural, you could do worse than visit the wonderful cities like Seville and Cordoba, even Malaga City itself i found surprisingly Spanish. If you want beach and culture then you simply must visit Cadiz, which i believe claims to be the oldest City in Western Europe, fantastic long sandy beach there too (though you may only want to stay a few days). Tarifa is a great place for surfing/wind surfing. Marbella is great if you're rich, or running away from massive credit card debts (lol). Hell, why not visit a few places.

Ps - I was even roasting in Seville during a visit in February a few years ago, so unless you're particularly unlucky, you should get a fair dose of sun (though admitedly, it did rain during an April visit to Cordoba once). Buen Viaje

  • I must agree, the costa de la luz is fantastic. The weather at Easter is far better than here in the UK. You get a fantastic mix of beaches (La Barrosa beach is 8km of golden sands), cultural cities and wonderful, helpful locals - perfect!

You can fly to several airports to visit there, Jerez, Sevilla, Gibraltar or Malaga.

The site below has loads of info and weather links on it:

  • According to weather2travel.com the average weather in april along the coast of spain is:

Costa Brava 17 degrees with a 33 percent chance of rain
Costa Dorada 19 degrees with a 33 percent chance of rain
Costa Blanca 20 degrees with a 20 percent chance of rain
Cost Almeria 19 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain
Costa del Sol 19 degrees with a 33 percent chance of rain (except for Estepona which is 20 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain)
Costa de la Luz (East of Chiplona) 19 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain
Costa de la Luz (West of Chiplona) 21 degrees with a 33 percent chance of rain

Seems your best bet of you want a coastal holiday is either west Costa de la Luz or Costa Blanca.
