Some people take a cheap plug in electric heater - it costs a lot to run, but you're paying a flat rate for your fuel so it doesn't matter (unless you're at pontins putting cards in the meter!). I noticed on our free pontins holiday last year that the door didn't fit the frame properly, and the chalet would be freezing and expensive to heat if it had not been summer.52% tight0

hmm i had forgotten about the extra charges for heating etc...have just worked out that to go half board at butlins for the 3 of us would be £272.50 through the sun with all the extras, but on butlins website we could book direct for £266.79! but we went to a park in cornwall last year and ended up paying about £90 whereas to book direct would have been about £200 so you are best to check all options before you book.0

We have been on 2 of these holidays now, both haven sites. We have ALWAYS been asked for our passes. They are great value, in my opinion.0

Been to quite alot of Havens and they always ask for passes.
Alot of these holidays are cheaper booking direct0 -
does anyone know if you can book through the sun to get a disabled caravan, my husband has recently became fully wheelchair bound and would need an adapted caravan.0

if its with Haven you can ring and book at the Sun price0 -
The havens we've been to ALWAYS ask for passes, especially for the swimming pool.
Of course if you are just using the caravan as a place to sleep and you don't want to go to the club at night, or the swimming pool etc. then you wouldn't need to buy them.
When they send you a booking confirmation you have the option to remove some or all of the passes (children under 4 usually don't need one).
You have to pay for them at butlins, even for babies and toddlers (I called last year to check). They don't give you a pass, you just pay before you go and once you're in through the gate you can do everything without showing a pass.
i can vouch for this, we have been to have now the last couple of years and everywhere in the evening where the entertainment etc is, you have to show your passes, they are quite strict on this.

We've been to a fair few Haven's and they ALWAYS ask for passes for the entertainment venues and swimming pools - even on NONE Sun Holidays0

I went to Park Holidays uk Riveria Bay in October with the sun, we were luck in some respects as we had a new chalet instead of an old version. We had to pay for the heating as we used it via pre pay cards into a machine, the first day it seemed to take a lot more money that the other days. The park on arrival suggested £5 and top up after that when required. By the end of the holiday (4 days) we spent, £15 on electricity  . As 3 adults there wasn't sufficient room, One bedroom with bunk beds, and lounge with so say a double pull down bed only big enough of one, on the whole not big enough to slepp any more and it was supposed to fit 5 Adults YEAH RIGHT!!!!. I wont be going with them again.
In the summer I went with the sun to Parkdean Torquay and it was fantastic. Electric and gas included in the price, and we automatically got an apartment that was spacious and suited 4 people, Brilliant will try for these again.:jOne Poll : £16.40, Toluna : £12.00 Voucher + 24105, Points, Lightspeed : 530 points, Ipoints: 1140 Points
Valued Opinions : £4.50, Pigsback : 960 Poinst
Trying for the £10 a day challenge started 05/06/08 = £3.000 -
