Bonds - Where can I find prices etc?

I am interested in learning the bonds market with a view to investing in a few years.

I am currently at little knowledge beyond they are like fixed loans and fluctuate in value (not talking government bonds)

I have found a site to watch US bond prices and yields etc. So a couple of Q's does anyone know of a good site to sit in the sidelines and study for a while in the UK?

Also is buying in the US market easy enough or are there lots of hoops to jump through?

Would be most grateful for name of the website that gives US bond prices.
    Many thanks

Brilliant ! Have been looking for a site like theone you gave for ages but not been able to find one.
My experience is that the bond market is completely opaque. No dealer will quote a market price unless you have the funds to buy the bonds already in your account with them. .
It often works like this : You ring dealers A,B,C & D and ask the price of the bond you want .
''An indication is all we can give you, as you don't have the funds in your account with us . We can offer you this bond at 99, says dealer A .''
Dealers B, C.& D have quoted over 100 so you transfer your funds to A

You then call dealer A to say you have the funds with them NOW and want to buy at 99. Back comes dealer A ...the price is now 100 !!

So you ring B,C & D ...Yes they say , you can have this bond for 98.5.
So what do you do ? Transfer the funds back from dealer A to dealer B ??
Can you be sure the same will not happen again ?
Any solution to this conundrum in the bond market as it seems quite common ? Almost like musical bond chairs !
