I prefer the term short and sweet.

Not being funny but being in a hurry is no excuse if that's the case.

Think about it if you was running your own bussiness and spent a lot of time and money on getting it setup and getting the pictures and descriptions spot on only to find someone just comes along without asking and nicks the lot.

I know the op says he used his own pictures but im just saying in general useally they both get used.

I used my own actual pictures of the item i was selling but the text and logo's were taken from the manufactures site, like core speed, ram speed, shader speed, requirements etc.., and also since when does gigabyte own the nvidia logo, or directx10, or pure video etc.. and on top of that almost all if not all the ebay ads selling this particular item have the same sort of description as i have with the info copied and pasted.

OK if that's correct then there should not be a problem at all. Your photos along with the specification from the manufacturers website. It is their product you are selling so you cannot make up your own spec, I am sure they would not be bothering to "sue" you for that, it is also more advertising for them:eek:

The email suggests to me that you've copied images/text from another eBay user, not the manufacturer:
"Members are not permitted to use another member's listing's text or images without that member's permission. Using another member's listing's image or item description may violate copyright laws. Images and text used in another member's listing may be protected by copyright law. "

ok well i just spoke to eBay (live chat) they had a look at my listing and riki said it was a bit odd, he did say another member had reported copyright issues he couldnt say who (not the manufacture) i sent him the links to the manufactures website and showed him the text and logos i used. he said to email the sellers department (which i did earlier) and they should be able to clarify this soon. I'll see if i can contact them live chat later today too

Anyways he refunded my fvf fees too now, i just contacted the buyer and he is happy to proceed aswell, he has a confrimed address and 100% rating, > 5 years, so hopefully it should be all ok.

    thanks for your help everyone

i will give an update in regards to this, but i think getting them to sort it out and list it back is gonna probbaly cost me the ebay fees etc...

    hmm ....what to do :A

edit: ebay fees have been refunded

Ah, the joys of other sellers. Unfortunately there are some out there who are awful enough to report others even if they are not using their images/wording but similar, so there is less competition out there. I have unfortunately encountered it a few times where ppl have nicked my images and text and had the cheek to report me. The joys of eBay & the staff who can't be bothered to check :)
