Hi - Mine's been paid in too now! No interest been added to mine or Childrens accounts tho as expected so looks like it's still being worked on!

Good point - just that I looked back on past statements and it always went in as 31 Dec. I think I'm just looking for problems now!!!!:D

I'm just in from work (Dept Work & Pensions), skeleton staff today, of all days for this to happen. Hundreds (& I mean hundreds) of members of the public phoning in trying to find out where their benefit payments are. Telephony completely swamped by incoming calls and next to nothing we could do to help anyone apart from referring them all back to the Nationwide.

Heartbreaking. Customers phoning up at 4.30pm to report their Nationwide branches had all closed at 3pm, no money in their accounts & all the shops starting to close.

Totally outrageous screw up by the Nationwide/BACS/whoever. 2 minutes to seven and that's me getting lunch. What a day.
