Nationwide BACS problem?

Hi - sorry if anyone else has already mentioned this, but I couldnt find anything on a search? My wages should be paid in my nationwide flex account today (last working day) but have not shown up online, neither have two DD's due to be paid today. I have just rung Nationwide to enquire about this and they have told me that they had a problem overnight with BACS payments that have not gone through or are not showing up. They say they are treating it as priority and these payments should show up later today. Has anybody else had this problem today please? Just as an afterthought when I checked internet service it says normal availability, wouldnt you just think they would mention this problem on their home page or is that too sensible??!!

  • Just posted another thread at the same time on this....oops.

My husband keeps getting told that system will process the payments soon e.g. first 9am then 10am......and as yet still nothing
  • Hi - threads crossing here!!! They told me on the phone to keep checking and if they are still not showing up later tonight to give them another call. Not sure if they realise the date and what most people will be doing tonight (as long as they have the cash to do it!!)

Agree with you entirely ... first thing I checked on finding my salary had not been paid in was whether Nationwide had posted a note or something ... but not a bean. So phoned my company and they said all transactions had been made on time, so problem is with Nationwide ...
  • Nationwide will pay £80 out to customers that have monthly payments going in to account, and will pay out entire wages to those who have proof e.g. wageslip. Apparently the fault is due to a server being vandalised

Sorry this has been posted twice, will someone be able to merge the threads?
