Down to 2.75% now.
OK, I'm confused now. It says 2.75% gross when I log in, but says 2.90% gross here:

I wonder which is correct?Stompa0 -
Hopefully the latter!

Down to 2.75% now.
But why not to 2.90. Told there had been an interest rate change. Yes I know but down then up again??
I was banging my head against a wall for answer, so a message was left on my "file" that it was wrong. I asked could I be assured this would be corrected and backdated.
Assured yes
So although not a huge difference, it is A difference.0 -

Yes, mine's still showing 2.75%. I'm not too concerned at the moment, I'm sure they'll correct it within a few days.Stompa0 -
I had a phone call this evening from Saga Savings/Birmingham Midshires re the interest rate anomoly. Apparantly it was due to a "marketing error"
and it is 2.90% and this rate will apply to our accounts from 02/03/09 as per the table. Why a marketing error I don't know - didn't quite add up really. Perhaps they actually meant it to be 2.75% but once the error was in the table, if that is where the marketing error was, at 2.90%, that rate had to apply. Who knows really.

Just looked on my account online and they have now amended the interest up to 2.90% for the Top 5 Tracker account. Until it goes down again next month it makes it one of the best, though sadly no longer available to new investors.
Their replacement Tracker merely tracks the BOE rate and guarantees to be 1.0% above for the first year and 0.25% below thereafter.0
