overdraft review question, help please

Hi
I am currently in 2nd year at uni and I've got an overdraft at Halifax Bank of Scotland. I used to have a part time job a while ago(7-8 months) but not working currently. I had maxed out a £500 overdraft and recently I phoned to upgrade it to £1000 which they agreed to pretty quickly(didn't ask many questions). Now my question is I got a letter about a month ago(before I upgraded the overdraft) saying my account is going to be reviewed in about a months time, now I know that this is when they can decide whether to increase it or not but I don't really want to do that. I am asking what really happens? Would it matter if I don't have a job currently and still have a maxed out overdraft? Will they contact me? I haven't used all the £1000, just about £600 but I am worried incase they contact me to try and get me to pay the £600 already or will they not do that? I have had small funds going in and out but it has mainly stayed under the -£500 figure.
thanks for any help

Hi James, welcome to the board.
As far as I know, these review things are just to check that the account you're using is your main student account, ie. money coming in and out now and again. I'm guessing that you do just use this account as your current account, so I reckon you'll be fine.
Whether you have a job or not doesn't really matter, does your loan/grant/whatever get paid in to the account? If so, again you should be fine.

thank you for replying. I don't currently have any loans or grants so nothing major is going into the account. It used to be my current account before it got switched so yeah I use it as my main account.0
