HSBC Current Account Advance

I want to move all of my banking to HSBC. I've recently just turned 18 (few weeks ago) and applied for a HSBC Current Account Advance last weekend online. I've checked today and HSBC did a credit search on me last Sunday.
I put on the application that I'm getting around £450 per month (not realising the minimum is £500 per month for the Current Account Advance).
I'm wondering would they have run a credit search even if they would have automatically turned me down for the minimum monthly income into the account, or would they only run a credit search after they have looked at my income etc...
My credit rating is poor as I have no previous record of credit (being 18), so I'm just hoping that I get accepted, even though theres little chance.

I'd imagine you'd get offered a Current Account instead of an advance. They've done a credit search, so you've not been rejected offhand.
If you really want, you can call up their application line and ask if you've been accepted or not. Might be quicker than waiting if you need to know now.0 -

Is it possible you can tell me their application phone number or tell me where it is on their website? I can't find it anywhere...0 -
