gaps in guttering

Hi Everyone

We have noticed that the guttering on the house that we bought in April has a 1/2 ince gap in places where the guttering is too short.

I have tried reaching it with a ladder but cannot get over the overhang.

Any ideas what we can do to fix this problem?

you will probally find that the gutters have expanded then moved on the joints so will just need moving back into position be it the gutter or the union joining them.some companies dont fix the unions which then move in the sun

I have tried to push it back in but it doesnt want to budge, how much will it cost to get someone out to do it?

you will need to unclip the gutter brackets and union to move it back into position

Thanks for that, i'll try it tomorrow if i dare to get back on the bouncy ladders

take care , ladders + guttering = danger
i would have thought it wouldn't cost more than 30 - 50 quid to fix

Small tip - If it is plastic guttering leave it until after this hard frost has passed. - (Should be slightly warmer this weekend and no significant rain until the following weekend - or wait for the sun to warm it up)

There is a risk of the plastic shattering when it is cold, (or ruddy freezing today). The plastic will be also be slightly more flexible in warmer conditions and easier to move.
