Hi Guys,
I'm looking to buy a new TV. After a few hours of reading I think its an LCD I should go for. Mainly cus it uses half the electricity of a plasma and I'm not bothered about sport. I'll mainly be using it to watch movies, but also documentries etc.
Looking for a 37 inch, good make, great price
(preferably less than 500 quid). Would like to be able to easily plug my laptop in to watch iplayer stuff etc.
Any thoughts on these...

This is 569 quid and the sales guy seemed to think it was the best buy @ 37": http://www.samsyerman.co.uk/productdetails.asp?ProdID=2535
Do you think its worth going for the 1080p, i.e. does it really make much of a difference?
Also, not to sure on the phillips as our old tv was phillips and we weren't overly impressed.
what do you guys think? Or is there another you would recommend?
Thanks everyone!

Thanks.
It doesn't seem to be 1080p. Do you think this makes much difference? Also an't see if it has inbuilt freeview. Do you happen to know? Thanks!0 -

Unless you have a source that gives 1080p such as a PS3 it wont really make a difference for standard def tv.
it does seem to say it has a digital tuner in the specs but I dont think its freeview.
