suffer from depression and in debt

I've got bipolar and debt, I make token payments of £1 a month, I've also gone down the CCA route which has made one of my debts unenforcable. I set it up with the help of citizens advice. They advised me to go bankrupt which I haven't done, but they helped with setting up token payments.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

We can and we will help you: there are lots and lots of lovely and knowledgeable people who post regularly on this board. But you are not giving us enough information at the moment.
We need you to complete a Statement of Affairs (basically a list of exactly what money you have coming in, exactly what bills you have going out, exactly what you owe and at what interest rates). The link to the thread you need is here

If you would prefer to do this face-to-face you can contact one of the debt charities - such as the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) this is free. But they will need you to have made a start on the SoA before they can help fully.
Also on this site are lots of templete letters which you can send to your creditors to let them know you are dealing with the situation, that you know your rights and that you are a vulnerable person and must not be harrassed.

There is a depression thread on this forum here : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=17250727#post17250727
Many of the regulars on the thread have been around a long time and the thread seems to have become a lifeline to them whilst suffering the symptoms of depression. Others, like myself, dip in and out with sometimes months going past without posting but I know I can go back to the thread anytime and feel part of it. Newcomers are always welcomed and its somewhere you can offload without feeling guilty and hopefully someone will be there to give you a little support.
I hope you get some help - the main thing to remember is that there are other people around who understand and have been through similar circumstances themselves. You're not alone.
Take care, try to get through things a day at a time, or an hour at a time if things are really bad.

Hi girl in need, welcome to the forum, you'll get lots of help and support on here, have you completed a statement of accounts yet?
That's the best start to looking at the whole problem.

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0
