    Hi Girl in Need

What kind of debt is it? (overdraft, loan, cc etc) Are you struggling to make the monthly repayments on it or are you just stressed because you have the debt?

Can you give a bit more info - preferably fill out a SOA so you can get clearer advice.

Personally I would investigate thoroughly any form of consolidation loan, you often end up paying more through interest and extend length of repayments.

I would have a think and see if you can make any extra money, for example a few evenings a week in a pub or waitressing? Or maybe selling unwanted stuff on ebay - there is also the online stuff like surveys and things - there is a board called 'up your income' which has tons of info on that.

I can appreciate that the debt is making you worried and your depression worse but if you are able to make a clear plan to clear the debt and can see it going down each month I think that would help you feel better and more in control.

There is a way out of this and you are in the right place.

    Take care
I've got my own flat :j:j

    Hello my lovely,

What sort of debts have you got my lovely and at what interest rates?

If you can give us more details we will help all we can. (Most of us have been in the "feeling hopeless and depressed and don't know which way to turn" shoes at some point.)

Consolidation is not usually the best idea but there are lots of other options.

Tell us all about it hon, and we'll see what we can come up with.

    Big hugs,

    Love Jacks xxx :D

Don't panic hun, just complete a full Statement of Affairs (link on one of the stickys at the top of the main DFW board page). We need to know your exact income, all your outgoing, the amounts and APR on your debts. It's a bit scary to do, but you should feel a bit more 'in control' once you have done it. Depression is very very common, lots of us (me included!) have suffered at one time or another. You are among friends here, it's a really supportive place.
