Hi, I have an odd problem with the ice cream maker above.
I have had it for about 10 years or so and not used it for about 5.
Got it out yesterday to make ice cream but it doesn't seem to fit together right and I can not see why. It has only been in a box in the cupboard so nothing has happened to it.

It consisits of a base which houses the motor and has a knobby bit sticking up from the middle.
On to that fits the freezing bowl which has to be pre frozen fo 24 hours.
In to that goes a plastic blade which mixes the ice cream
Finaly a plastic housing fits over all of it which should click in place and the whole thing churns when switched on.

However the housing will not click into place. It is about an inch away and doesn't reach. This is madness because it all used to fit perfectly.

Nothing is broken or warped, the top just seems to have shrunk!

Does anyone have a similar model and can confirm i'm doing it right. I've read the instructions and everything

I have read with interest your issue with the Swan Elegance ice cream maker. We have the exact same problem. It is as though the lid has shrunk. The bottom of the freezer bowl is convex. Should this flatten out after freezing and allow the lid to fit? thanks
