boiler fan replacement costs

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question. Looks like the fan in my boiler died. :mad: What costs should I expect to get it replaced?

Depends on the boiler. You could phone someone like Plumb Center or Wolsely, give them the make and model of your boiler to get a price for the part. Then phone a few Corgi registered plumbers for a quote to fit.

To find a plumber you could visit https://www.findacraftsman.com the website of the Guild of Master Craftsmen.

You can get a rough cost by Googling 'spares for ..... boiler' and going into the suppliers sites for cost of the fan,then add £100 for fitting.

Fans cost anything from £50 to £150, some are available as part-exchange reconditioned parts in much the same way as some car spares. Replacing a fan is usually no more than 30 minutes work, depending on the boiler, the Corgi fitter will be obliged by law to carry out a visual safety check on things like the case seals, flue location and flame-picture on recommissioning of the appliance.
