I posted last week to say we had recieved our mortgage offer. We expected to exchange today but............... the vendor who was intially going into rented has had a offer on a property accepted so the whole process has been brought to a halt.
Thankfully our vendor is mortgage free and her vendor is not buying another property .How long (roughly ) could it take now?
I am pulling my hair out as we first made our offer and started the ball rolling early September.
Has anyone else been in a similair situation?
Any thoughts, advice etc would be gratefully appreciated.

Your vendor will be starting from scratch then. I would say atleat 6 to 8 weeks. Not what you want to hear I am sure!!Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

Yup - agree with inmy. No mortgage required and their vendor not buying is good news, it's possible in 4 weeks but much more likely to be a couple of months IMO.
Try and keep the pressure on through your sol and the EA, it's about all you can do to move things along. BoL.0 -
