5 or 6 year deadline

I currently live in England, but my bank account was opened in Scotland. I just recently learnt about reclaim bank charges but I think my charges were around 2002-2003 time. Will I get the 6 year deadline, or the 5 year deadline? Why does Scotland have a shorter deadline than England?

It was Bank of Scotland account I open in Scotland. But now I use Halifax in England (after the merge). Shame I can't just transfer my Scotland branch to an England branch to get that extra year....

6 years, assuming you file at an English County Court.

Since I live in England I'll probably be filing to an England court. Will I get the 6 years for a Scotland branch?

The question of how far is based on where you file the claim and not where the branch of the bank is that you are claiming from.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
