We regularly rent property in Spain, normally the Southern Costa Blanca. We have used Ownersdirect too, plus these:

    http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/index.htm

    http://www.villarenters.com/default.asp

Remember that there is plenty of property and not many people renting at present, so there is lots of choice. We have recently returned from a lovely place on a golf course, which cost us only £130 for 10 days.
  • If you would consider a different area, we have been to Almerimar a few times and loved it. It is very quiet and where the Spanish people holiday so not very touristy, but there are 3 lovely marinas there with various bars and restaurants, one has a green square and is good for the kids to run about while you sit back and relax. The beach isn't very good but Roquetas de Mar is only a 20 minute drive up the road with miles of lovely beach and there is also a waterpark there, a go-karting place and a large indoor shopping mall with cinemas. I have used www.almerimagic.com a guy called Peter manages the properties for various owners - some of them also advertise on www.holiday-rentals.co.uk We have stayed in two bed peoperty no's 212 & 701 and villa no's 315 & 326. They are all on the same complex and I would recommend them all, they are set back from the marina area which is about 20 minute walk away but I quite like a stroll over an evening and they all come with decent sized patio areas so you can enjoy just staying in and sitting out over an evening. Carjet and Doyouspain both offer reasonable car hire rates. Good luck in your searh - hope you find what you are after.
  • a weekly magazine called daltons weekly, also online try them.
  • Agree owners direct, holiday lettings and holiday rentals
Currently because of exchange rate it is better to deal with Brits whose property is in £s
Be sure to take out 'independant travellers insurance' to cover yourself incase of flight cancellations etc
There is something of interest the full length of SPAIN:beer:
  • Used these as well http://www.daltonsholidays.com/ and got some good deals.
