Dell - False Advertisement

On the 28th November 2008 I purchased a studio 17 laptop from Dell's website. I received it shortly afterwards but as it was a Christmas present it was not opened until Christmas day. To my complete disappointment, when the box was opened it did not come with the “2.0 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera - CCFL [Included in Price]” as advertised when I made my order online.
Yesterday I contacted Dell's Customer Care team and received the following:
"The marketing department have confirmed that this order was purchased on 28-11-08 and there was no offer of web cam being included at the time with this system hence the order was processed without camera.
The website has completely different specification and the order details which include camera, hence we will not be able to ship any camera for your purchase."
I am 1000% positive that when I placed my order the camera was included in the price (as it currently is at the moment) although my order confirmation slip - which was generated after my order was placed - states that no camera is included. On one side I can argue and say that they have no proof that the camera was not included at the time of sale but on the other side they can argue and say that I have no proof that the camera was included. I am disgusted that Dell have approached me with this attitude and at the end of the day I just want the laptop I expected based on what I saw online when I placed my order.
Where do I stand? Am I entitled to receiving an exchange for the laptop with the integrated camera?

Have you tried googling the exact model number of the laptop to see if there is a cached version of the webpage which would show the offer on the date you purchased?0

also would something like the wayback machine have it? Unless it's one of those "online only" orders, perhaps an old magazine from around that time?
Interesting side note, I found today that my local pc world is selling the dell studio hybrid, which is a pretty decent and stylish looking bit of kit imho, for quite a bit less than dell themselves seem to be able to do.
Someone, PC World of all people, undercutting Dell has got to be one of the signs of the apocalypse. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
I must say that I have always found Dell good to deal with. When you order online you always get a list of components before you submit your order. If it's not on this, then I think this is a lost cause.Je suis sabot...0
