I had the same thing with a cd i bought. It was sealed with sticky tape and security sticker which i removed when i was wrapping and luckily i look inside the case and found there was no CD in it!!
I found the receipt and exchanged it for another cd, no problems with them believing me.0 -
My son bought himself a mcfly greatest hits album at 90% off this afternoon and when we got back to the car to put it in the cd player I saw there was no disc in. He was quite upset (he's only 8) so I walked back and explained. There are no refunds but the lady was happy to exchange. She basically went throught the drawer anduntil I found one that would do - Pop party 6 in the end. Staff were very helpful considering the store was in its last hours.0

The stores are in a state of chaos and it is possible that display cases are being sold in error

To be pedantic, you took the empty CD case to the counter, you were quoted a price of £5.97 (or whatever) for the goods you presented. You agreed, and paid the quoted price... for the case

Which of course would have been preferable to either mcfly or party poop 6 anyway0 -
It isn't just Woolies,a couple of years ago I bought a double CD of 70's hits for my upcoming birthday party ,reduced at a music outlet shop at Cheshire Oaks, it had a security sticker on and I asked why it was reduced and was told it was old stock and not damaged or any other problem.
However, a month later I got it out for my party and both CD's were identical. so it was no bargain at all.
I always open and check now.0 -
One reason they're going out of business... at least you know what you get with cheaper downloads. Although, I can't figure out how to do that for their pick n mix lol.0

in future buy your CD's online - they are not only cheaper but you also get the cd to actually play!!0
