Toyota car service...............
Just had a letter saying car is due for a servive. They also reccomend the brake fluid is changed, according to my service docs it says inspection not replacing.
Does anyone know if there trying to get some extra money out of me or is it right.
Hope this make sense. Cheers

It will depend on the age of the car and if/when it has been done before however, it's a good idea to get it changed every two years as the fuild can get contaminated. I would call a few local Toyota dealers (if you have this option) to see what prices they are charging for a service.

Hi,
i work in sales at a Toyota Dealer and usually tell people between £200-£250 for a 20k depending on what needs changing following inspection.
Just so you know you can have your Toyota serviced anywhere providing they are a registerd garage(not just guy down road), use Genuine parts, use the service schedule in your service book and most important give you and invoice that shows all this. The invoice will be your back-up if you have a Warranty claim.
However, my reccommendation is always that a full Toyota Service history will be more appealing when part-exchanging or esp. when selling privately.
Also dealer labour rates do change ours vary between £70-£95 + VAT p.h. -depending on car, so shop around.
