Hopefully today will be a NSD for me, I am working at PT job this morning but have had breakfast and brought in a sandwich for lunch. Going to see the Charlie and Lola play this afternoon (with no children, hope they let me in!) and then straight home to watch Demons and await the announcement of the new Dr Who with baited breath!

Oh, and forgot to say - have decided to not include bus pass spend in my days as I can't avoid it. So, bought a pass this morning but it doesn't count - if I'd have waited till Monday (which is when I was originally going to get it) I'd have had to pay on the bus today to get to PT job which seems pointless!

  • Should have been a no spend day for me, but dropped niece to airport early this morning and had first 20 minutes free. She went through departures and got back to car with 1 minute to spare. Now there is a massive big sign saying as you drive up to barrier to go out which states "DO NOT DRIVE UP TO BARRIER UNLESS YOU ARE PAYING BY CREDIT CARD". Old f*rt in front sits in car at barrier, then gets out and comes to my car and asks me "Where do I put my money". I say he has to pay by card or go to machine by foot and pay. He ambles over to machine with cash, but has no ticket as he has fed this into the barrier machine. Goes back to his car and then starts reversing - hits the barrier and then stops. I then have to squeeze past him (although I left him plenty of room to reverse) and put my ticket in the machine. I am ONE minute over my free 20 mins stay and get charged £2. Grrrrrrrrrrrr! WHY DON'T PEOPLE READ THE SIGNS.

Sorry for rant, but just had to get that off my chest - so NOT a NSD for me today!

  • No spend day yesterday, just 16/18 to go.

I am really trying this month ! Tomorrow i am out shopping with friends which could ruin about 6 of my challenges!

I don't need anything so I will try and stick to just eating lunch and getting coffee.

    honest Gov!

Write them a letter with your ticket (drop it off by hand so no stamp payment) - you never know, for £2 they might give it back?

  • Hello, Hello!!

    Happy New Year everyone!

I'm a little late - but can I join in? I'm gonna aim for 20 this month - didn't make target last month - or more I stopped keeping track, so I've no idea if I made it or not!! I need to do it this month though - as I need to be spending as little as possible!!

I've had 1 so far this month - so 19 more to go.......

Alas, the machine keeps the ticket so no can do - and as the airport is 50 miles away it wouldn't be feasible to deliver by hand. Just really annoying and totally unnecessary £2 to have to spend! Thanks for the replying though.

Yes it was Buffy and still is, but I will learn to live with it and remember next time NOT to get stuck behind a halfwit who can't read!!!:rotfl:
