Happy New Year everyone! I wasn't very good at this challenge a few months back but new year, new start and all that... I'm going to try for 14 DAYS.

I won't be counting anything bought with Christmas money, or petrol, or the breakdown cover I'm shopping for today; but I will be counting groceries because looking at my statements that's where all my money goes - all the little treats here and there when I pop in for milk.

Edit: Neither will I be counting swimming admission - I don't need any more excuses not to go!!

May I join in please. As me and OH are both retired and only have ourselves to consider I have gone for 20 NSD's. I am not including him in this though as we keep out finances completely seperate. I pay all bills by DD and I won't be counting them. Everything else bought by me will be counted. I have already promised myself we will cut down on spontanious eating out and I really do not need any more clothes so they will be replace only when necessary. I don't drive so no petrol to buy. I should be able to keep grocery shopping to once a week with a small top up for perishables mid week so this should be doable. So why am I not doing it already???mmmm.

hiya im new to this but can i join and do 14 please??/
  • I'm going to aim for 18 again this month (just about managed that in December). Again the DD to the joint account (that pays the bills, except food) will count as a "spend" day, as will the credit card repayments. But i won't be including petrol/train fares to job interviews (i should be able to claim that back) or (fingers crossed) to work when i get a new job (hopefully soon).

Best of luck to everyone, whatever their target/circumstances, and a happy new year.

Hi..please can I be put down for 12 this month. I know I've not managed more than 9 before but Jan is a new start and I'm going to be more organised, or at least I'm gonna try my hardest!!
I don't count my bills and I am allowing myself £10 petrol a week for getting to work, if I spend any more than that a week it wil be classed as a spend.

    Hi!

Please can you put me down for 10 this month. Need to get back into the swing of things and have edited signature so there's no going back.

    Good luck everyone!
