Instant access cash isas

Hi there could some kind hearted expert on here help me and my son, he is a first year student and has £1750 pounds to invest in a cash isa. He needs one were you can go into the branch and get instant access. He probably wont be adding anything to it each year, but needs it as a small saving account and he may make a few withdrawals on it, although he is hoping to keep the majority of it invested. He has been offered a rate of 2.5% by Nat West which to me didn't seem very good, and we both wondered if anyone knew of any better deals anywhere. Many thanks in advance GY Tone. P.S he is studying at Sheffield, if that helps at all.

Ok well you can go here:
https://www.moneysupermarket.com/savings
for the best rates at the moment.
The rates currently aren't very good because interest rate is at 2%, and could go lower.0 -
Kazza's 'Best ISA' post HERE is also a useful source of information, as is the Moneyfacts Cash ISA page.0
