I would imagine things are sent recorded regardless of their worth as it prevents or reduces the chances of someone making an 'item not receieved' claim with paypal shortly afterwards.
Thats why I record all mine anyway.0 -
For 2009 my plans are to finally get my own site created but also have a proper crack of Amazon. I quite fancy looking at doing trade/craft fares.
I had an email from Auctiva today reminding me of the new rules. I knew about the multi-media but didn't know about the PayPal one. I've gotta get cracking on revising my listings which is a job I could do without. Approx 400 listings all with 'contact me for details on how to pay by cheque or postal order'. Drat.

The most recent Auctiva email referred to the .com site, so a few of the rules do not yet apply when listing on ebay.uk.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I just hope you get a batter success rate with signatures than I do then otherwise you are throwing away a lot of your profits for nothing. In October not one of the items I sent recorded (not ebay though as I don't use recorded for ebay) was signed for, not one single signature so if they had bene ebay items I still would have lsot any paypal claim.
100 parcels a month = £72 a month extra out of your profits. The seller ultimately pays for the recorded element as buyers usually have a figure in mind when bidding so will take into account the P and P charge as well so have 72 p less to spend on your item than they would on mine .I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
