Should you buy next door to a massive caravan?

Options
Is someone who owns a really HUGE caravan likely to drive you mad as a neighbour? If it's so big they tend to park it over the driveway of the house you're looking at.
And they've got a huge 4x4 monster truck nearly to pull it.
Is it just asking for neighbours from hell?

(Nothing against caravans at all BUT this one is enormous)

Are you talking "shared drive" or are they parking on their neighbour's? Have the sellers said anything?

    Don't disclosure laws apply ?

    !!!!!! is all that about?
  • I'd have my reservations - bet it blocks out a lot of light too?

  • id say that'd put me off.
we have a neighbour that parks his eyesore of a rusty transit van outside our house which makes it hard to get on/off drive plus blocks out my only view of the sea from the house.it really irritates me.
is there anyone living in the house you went to see.if its empty they mite just be parking over it a bit cos no ones there?
Maybe you could find out if they are away alot.

  • If you have any reservations at all don't buy it. Its not worth it. A property is a massive investment personally and financially. It might be ok - but it might not!!!

If I could afford a massive caravan and a monster 4x4 to pull it, I'd make damn' sure it didn't spend much time on my driveway. I'd take it away on holiday as much as possible.

No saying that's what your prospective neighbour will do though.

To be honest I do not bother what vehicles etc my neighbours have. My OH has been known to park a JCB on our drive

So long as it is kept on their land it is their business, give and take. However having said that, if it is parked, or partly parked, on your land, or blocks your access in any way, I would avoid.

I'd rather have a caravan than the neighbours from hell we have actually got.
