A.O.L ...a thank you saved me money

Options
I have been with A.O.L dial up for 5 years and whilst I have heard loads of the A.O.L hell stories I can honestly say I have never had any problems with them, quite the opposite .That was until they got broadband (finally) in my area and I wanted to upgrade and also get the A.O.L talk unlimited. I was informed that I would be still able to use my dial up until I received my modem... that is where my nightmare began. I was unable to log on I was passed from 1 department to the other I was given the complete run around for a week. Until finally my patience ran out and I said I was canceling .The person in the cancellation/ retention department couldn't have been any nicer .After a lengthy conversation / debate I ended up with having to pay no more money until April on either broadband or my talk package. I was very happy with this and thanked them and also asked for a supervisors email address so I could email and say how happy I was with the service I had just recieved. With this they thanked me and said ''I’ll tell you what I’ll give you your broadband for £2 less a month as well ''
We our always told a Thank You costs nothing but in this case it saved me money
Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make
