Mini/Maxi ISA qs- sorry

Am pretty clued up on ISAs, but just thought of something.
Have a mini cash ISA, maxed to this yr, so will recommence depoits into it in April. Note am not closing, transferring it, no nothing!!!
Therefore, can I open a Maxi ISA in April, as that would be my "only open 1 ISA a yr"; even if you only open 1p.a. can you pay into 2, or do I have to stick with a 4K mini stocks and share?
