Savings Rates & Moving Money

dosh37,
Oh I completely understand the business of chasing interest rates around. I seem to have been doing this since, well, definately since start of November. It was so much hassle. I decided I'd pay the Chaps fee to get £15,000 out from B&B quickly, but it was 'only' £20. I'm glad I did as the Coventry BS were really quick about doing things when I opened a Poppy Bond! Compared to Saga who took nearly 2 weeks to send out forms then nearly 2 more weeks to process afterwards. I had £15,000 in limbo for nearly a month because it was so slow. I waited as it was a very good fixed rate. Unlike now of course! What will we all do when these fixed interest jobbies mature - when there is 8ugger all choice.:rolleyes:0 -
Thank you dosh37 for cheering me up in these gloomy times for savers.
Been there, got the t-shirt, now abandoned all hope of leaving my capital intact. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

That's what keeps me going - the British stiff upper lip in times of adversity.
What's your name - don't tell him Pike!0 -
I am seriously thinking of emmigrating to New Zealand.
This country has completely gone to pot over the last few years.
They have better weather, more affordable and cheaper housing, fewer immigrants, a smaller population and amazing scenery.0 -
I don't blame you. Do they have entry criteria? Let's form an orderly queue

But then won't you become an immigrant? As the daily mail says all immigrants are evil....... (well except for the white english speaking kind)
A smaller population = less immigrants surely?0
