payPal rip-off

I sold a digital camera on Ebay a couple of weeks ago, the guy who won the auction paid me using payPal. Once the money had cleared I (luckily) withdrew the funds from payPal into my personal bank account. All fine so far....
Last week I received an email from PayPal informing me that this guy’s account was under investigation & therefore they had debited the money back from my payPal account!!!! I gave them all the information they required, & waited. I just phoned them & got the most arrogant woman I’ve EVER had the misfortune to encounter! She told me that they had every right to do what they have done (even though I'm the innocent party here), & I MAY get my money back after 30 days!!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind, but you pay an absolute fortune to use their very average service (I only use it because it's convenient), & when the brown stuff hits the fan, they show their true colours
I would STRONGLY URGE anyone who uses payPal to withdraw any money you have with them, because at any time, they can, quite within their terms & conditions, take the whole lot!
You've probably guessed, I'm a little peed off with these cowboys right now.
Anyone here have similar experiences? Do tell.

Which is why it is sensible to have several Paypal accounts. Link the first to your ebay account, and then when you get paid, bounce the money through several other accounts, before drawing it down to your bank account.
As Paypal do not require a credit card or bank account to set up an account, all you need is the ability to set up multiple email addresses.
If there is a chargeback, Paypal would need to track the transactions through, which they cannot be bothered to do.
A cautious seller will do this to stop the buyers who are fraudsters, but there are bound to be fraudulant sellers who do the same. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I never leave money in my Paypal account, if they want it, they have to take it from my bank account, which I have to authorise.I Believe in saving money!!!:T
