Hi all,
Some of you may remember the awful time the twins and I were having this time last year. Pages and pages were written by myself and numerous other MSE folk who supported me throughout the whole sorry tale. It got so much that someone even suggested it should be made into a book - well, in a strange way it has!
As some of you may remember I was using (and still am using) the services of Christians Against Poverty (CAP) a debt counselling charity who have been tremendous support and help to me.
In October I was invited to an client awards ceremony in London - lovely venue and great meal. After the meal the awards were announced and to my absolute shock I heard my name being called - I had won the award for 'The Person Who Has Overcome The Most'!!!
My story was played out on large video screens across the room (I had been interviewed the week previously) and then I had to go up on stage in front of 450 guests to receive a lovely glass award and a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
But, to top that, my story has been published in CAP's latest book - Journeys of Hope - along with 11 other people's stories. So whoever said that what I had to deal with was worth putting into print was right!!!
So, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone and to wish you all a Happy New Year and to say to anyone struggling with debt please, please do contact one of the debt charities and get help - it won't be long before your life becomes your own again.

awww, MOT I love CAP. I love working with them as a support worker too. I am currently being trained as a money councillor to run CAP money courses in our area.
I love the way they really care and support their clients too. Not read the latest book yet but I will definately get now as I followed your story when it first came out.
Congratulations on the massive journey you have come through already and look forward to the next installments!DFW 228 LONG H 68
