Yahoo Mail & Windows Mail

Hi

My Windows Mail has suddenly stopped downloading emails for my Yahoo account. I have not changed any settings, nor have I installed or uninstalled any software.

I know that Yahoo say that you need Mail Plus to use Mail or OE, but it has always worked OK before.

What's happened & how can I put it right?

Thanks for reading & any advice you can give.

Mike

Sounds like Windows have pulled the plug...?

Windows no longer support some of the 'free' e-mail providers, it would appear from a quick google browse.

Thanks for your reply. Strangely, I have just looked at my other half's yahoo mail settings & they are the same as mine (different user name & password), but Windows Mail checks & downloads her messages with no problems

A few weeks ago, my windows mail suddenly stopped downloading messages. For some reason I needed to re-enter the pop/smpt settings/password, still not sure what caused it but after resetting the info, it's worked fine since. I'm not on yahoo, but on another web-based email account.

Thanks. I have tried entering all the details again, but still not working.

I have just installed Thunderbird but am having the same problems

Not an anti-virus program conflict or anything like that?

Does your SO use the same PC/laptop/whatever for their e-mail?

Yes, she uses the same PC.

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
