We must join forces next time we raid Brum. I did all the rounds of Birmingham on Saturday but I forgot the one at the Arcade!!! silly me. I did not managed to get the ball for free, so I paid a 5. Sold it yesterday to one of my colleagues for a 5 i don't think that I would use it enough. Did you see on the lower floor with all the reduced items the tea light venetian holders at 2 pounds and the funny scented roses at 1 pound I bought 2 of each and in the till something happened. I was wondering if it had some sort of code because all the shopping (+ ball, DR, EA) came to 50p. Worth checking it out. I can't go today but if you are see what happends and pass it on. :rotfl:

Lets meet for coffee, I managed my last one at Debehams for free as I had collected enough stamps!! ... I am a good girl. :A

Sorry, this is a long post, but I went out with a bang! Had an excellent last day at Boots! :D

Popped into B’ham armed with my last 5 TD vouchers and loads of EA & Gym equipment vouchers. Went to the main High St branch, after first checking the slim pickings in the Great Western Arcade branch.

Got some of the Boots Lavender and Rosemary Shampoo & Conditioner for mum - £1.29 plus 50 AC points voucher. No TD under £7, but they had the new “Change One Thing” leaflets with the £5 off DR only vouchers! I thought “It’s the last day – be cheeky!” so went and had a good look at the DR products – all BOGOF - and picked up 2 of the £8.49 Hand Sets (first time I’ve seen them anywhere). Took them to a really pleasant guy on the tills and handed over the £5 off TD, £5 off DR only & 50 AC points vouchers. Ended up with a credit balance of 22p! :D The SA seemed a bit confused and checked but I reiterated that all the vouchers were different and that the till was accepting them – so he went along with the till.

Thought “This is too good to be true” so went straight back to the DR stand. Took ages to decide what else to get, deliberating over whether I would ever use it. This was my undoing! By the time I’d decided to go for the All over body cream @ £12 and the Manuka Facial Wash @ £10.50, an SA had “just happened” to wander over and ask if I needed any help! Although she was sweet and did help me with my choice, she mentioned it’s only “1 voucher per person – ever”. I decided to just get the Face Wash, so 2 X £10.50 on BOGOF less £5 TD + £5 DR vouchers = 50p to pay. :)

As I’d been told “1 per person” I decided not to push it, so went off for the gym equipment instead. (All the remaining Xmas Sale goods seem to be downstairs, if anyone’s interested.)

Walked around the entire floor until I found the Gym Pack. No Abs Toners left. Couldn’t see the Capsule Gym Ball but then eventually found the last one shoved at the back of the wrong shelf.

The SA (think it said Eva Braun on the name badge ;)) kicked up a right stink when I tried to use both of the Gym Ball vouchers. She actually said “a woman come in here yesterday trying to do the same thing – was that your mother?” Bloody cheek! She got another SA involved who then checked it with the Manager – they agreed that if the computer was accepting the vouchers to just put them thru. So a Gym Pack and Gym Ball for £2.50. :)

Decided I’d had enough from that shop, so went up the road to the tiny branch at the top of New Street. Wandered the aisles, but this was also slim pickings. No DR, no EA and no TD under £8. Then – as if by magic – I spotted four lonely little souls looking all unloved on a bottom shelf: 2 reduced TD body lotions at £3.50 each and 2 reduced TD Exfoliating facial washes at £2.50 each.:O

“Come to Daddy!” I said. And they did.

Popped to the till and the lovely SA wasn’t at all bothered about doing them as separate transactions and even reminded me that TD is on “3 for 2”. So paid £1.00 for 2 Facial washes and a body lotion using a £5 TD voucher and wondered about with my remaining reduced body lotion looking for more reduced stuff.

In the end picked up one of the £8 TD items and went to the till where my darling SA had found another reduced body lotion and facial wash! :D So £8 went back on the shelf and I used my last 2 £5 TD vouchers to get my remaining reduced goods for £1.00 over 2 transactions.

Dave was a very happy bunny - I’d spent £5 buying goods worth £76 and also got 75 AC points. :D

My final tally is 34 TD & DR items worth £242 for an amazing £29.25. Have tried some lovely products that I would never usually have bought and have enough to last me at least a year. Have also got several presents taken care of including an evergrowing Mother’s Day hamper :). No intention of re-selling any of the above.

Huge thanks to bedshaped & shazspice for spotting this loophole and to all other MSE’rs who’ve contributed to this and the TD thread and thanks again to limey for kindly sending me some extra vouchers. :)

I had a great day out in Wakefield today (didn't spot you pash unfortunately)

They had 4 gym balls and 1 ab toner. I got the gym ball first at the photo booth and the Sa said you can only use 1 voucher, I said "oh it worked fine for my sister yesterday" and she said I'll try it for you, cue smug grin as it went through!

I then had another walk round and decided to get the abtoner, it weighs an absolute ton but car wasn't far away. Quite scared when I went to the No7 makeup till but she never even looked at the vouchers and just scanned them and passed me over my receipt!

My daughter who was with me then decided she wanted a gym ball so we went back to get another and used a different till again with no problems at all.

I then had a look at the Td items and they had quite a few eye brighteners so I got 3 and paid the £1.50 excess on them and also loads of lip plumper so I got two of those as well.

Also got loads more of the Ea items for free along with a big bag of maltesers :D
An amazing and very satisfying end to my TD/EA boots life.

ahhh so thats why when I got there no gym balls left! they had the massaging one but only one voucher could be accepted making it £7, not cheap for something you don't really want and would use even less (lol).. got a lip plumper for £2 that makes it 3 in total I love that stuff! Got 2 foot care things from EA range £1.49 each, put through with one voucher paid 98p! and that was the end of my Boots shopping.. No DR stuff worth having and picked up leaflets in Castleford hoping they would be the new ones so could use one new and one old and get "free" more expensive stuff.. not to be! think with the petrol and car parking costs it really wasn't worth me going..but I had to try as it was the end of an era! Shame I missed you Ragtimeplayer.. maybe next time eh!
*thinks* what now then.. brought a book to read at lunch today haha.. take care all
