Wifi ??

Can anyone please explain what wifi is ?
:confused:I'm changing from Orange modem connected to BT wireless, but BT specify a 350 minutes per month limit on wifi . Does this mean that I have only 350 minutes a month connected to the internet ?
Thanks

Yes you will only get 350 mins online a month.
  • Is that 350 minutes away from the home hub ?
Would I have unlimited use from my own hub at home and does 350 minutes mean access away from the home hub say at someone else's home ?

Google for BT Cloud wifi hotspots. It's those you get 350 minutes a month usage of in addition to your normal usage at home.

    confusing answers apart from Conor's.

your home usage isn't limited to minutes, because it is your home connection, regardless of if you are connected by ethernet cable, or wifi, it is only limited to the 15gb download allowance that you are given

you have 350 minutes of connection on bt wifi connections, which include btopenzones, and fon (not the cloud!!!)

the info is here on bt's website - http://www.productsandservices.bt.com:80/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25792

and damn! that is expensive for what you get!!!!

I didn't think you could access the Fon service unless you were on FON?
  • The BT Homehubs now have fon functionality, so you can share your connection with fon users, and so connect to other fon users.

Yeh, but everyone else is saying you can spend your 350 minutes on the FON network, without being on it...?
