Help needed urgently!

I am cooking Chicken tikka masala from JO's new cookbook. He asked me to buy natural yoghurt but there isn't anything in the recipe about it.

When should this go in? I've just put the tomatoes, coconut milk and water in and now its to simmer for 20 mins then it's ready...

Should I just put the yoghurt in now?

Ahh I'm panicking! This lot cost me £12!

Maybe the yoghurt is to put on your face like a mask so you look lovely when eating?

    :rotfl:

    Sorry. :D

Usually yog/cream gets stirred in at the end of cooking. I'd do the 20 minutes then stir it in then.

But what do I know? :D

    Recipe here

In a little vegetable oil, on a medium heat, fry the onion, peppers and spices in a large saucepan. Cook gently for 10 minutes then add the tin of tomatoes and the yoghurt. Add the chicken pieces and simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes until cooked. Just before serving, stir through the double cream and chopped coriander leaves.

It could be that you stir some yoghurt in just before serving the chicken. But that's pure guesswork from me. Don't panic whatever you do - I'm sure it'll taste good even if it's your chicken tikka masala rather than Jamies'.

Maybe not the best cook now, but each time you cook you will get better and then before you know it, offering advice on here too. ;) :j
