Hi MRSE - just some more onfo about the italy holidays if you're trying to compare prices for booking direct.

They don't have a separate charge for entertainment passes but they have a service charge of £6.50 per unit per night.

Also, if there are fewer than 4 of you going you still have to pay for 4 people minimum, so £38 for the £9.50 dates or £60 for the £15 pp dates (plus your service charge of £19.50 or £26 depending on how many nights your break is for).

    Is that £38 per night?

no, for the holiday which will be either fri-mon or mon-fri, so 3 or 4 nights. Depending on which dates you choose the holiday will be £9.50pp or £15 pp. June and july tend to be £15pp.

So if you went in july and had a mon-fri break it would cost 4x £6.50 service charge = £26 and 4x£15 = £60. Total holiday cost £86 and then you sort out your own transport. The sun offer ferry deals. They're mostly self catering, but at butlins and a few of the havens you can pay extra to go half board.

My parents have sometimes found booking directly with the parks to be better value if they are going away together, because they can choose the times when kids are in school.

But when they come to butlins in the school holidays with us it's cheaper to go with the sun. We usually go for the weekend after they break up and 3 nights costs a total of £125 whereas booking direct at the cheapest discount came out at £315.

There's a code for haven in the asda mag for discounts if you book in january - 9ASDA

15% off school hols if you book before 19th jan and up to 50% off other dates.

  • I received my priority booking form in post. As a previously booker it said I needed to collect only 8 tokens starting on Monday but I've noticed they are doing a starter one in Sat's paper and an online one with a code - Does anyone know if one of these can be used? Unfortunately, even though I booked last year I couldn't go as my daughter broke her arm 3 days before we were due to go and I couldn't get money back or transfer/sell it on in time - so fingers crossed for this year!

I've just had a look on the website and seen the one with the code on it. I'm presuming that we must be able to use it because otherwise there'd be no reason for them to put a code on it.

(ps - if it hasn't already been posted, the code on the online token is LINE)

    Alexander William born 30th December 2012 - 10lb 2oz

Does anyone know what time the priority booking system online opens on Monday 12th Jan? What time has it been available in the past?

I am a bit miffed as I have been on Sun holidays twice a year for the last 3 years and never had a form yet my sis hasn't been on one for over a year and still gets on every time.
I will be using her form but it is a pain in the neck :p

  • Hi, can you nice people who get the Sun post the codes each day from the tokens. In the past they have been the same in each paper, i.e not unique. Would be much appreciated. Cheers:beer:
