laptop no longer connecting to BThome-hub

Went away at Christmas and tried to connect with in-laws homehub - failed! On returning home would no longer connect with ours - yet worked perfectly before. Shows our homehub is in range but limited or no conectivity - which ultimately means - no connection. When the windows repair network connection message comes up, it fails every time saying "it cannot renew the IP address". Can anyone help?

Problem solved! Searched the net and found various sites where people posted the exact same problem. Numerous solutions were put forward, but this one worked:
    1. Power off Home Hub
    2. Power off laptop.
    3. restart both (pretty important)
    4. Set up connection from scratch (delete previous connections)
    5. Enter Wireless key (WEP) on back of Home Hub
    6. Wait for laptop to pick up wireless signal on Home Hub
    7. Launch browser
