Dimmer for Transformer low voltage lighting

Hoping someone can advise
I purchased this light
http://www.johnlewis.com/230409832/Product.aspx
Which uses G4 bulbs that run off a 12v transformer.
My current dimmer won't work with this but have found that a trailing edge dimmer may work.
Thinking of the one below
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/VLIC1402.html
Does anyone know if this type of dimmer would work ?

It looks as if it will do, but a quick email or phone call would confirm it for sure. The John lewis site does not appear to say what type of transformer is supplied with the fitting.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Just read the instructions and the light says not suitable for use with a dimmer
Is that just to cover themselves or does it mean it won't work even with a trailing edge dimmer.
Would it help if looked at the type of transformer by talking the light off.0 -
Best to give them a ring. You might have to buy a different transformer.I can afford anything that I want.

Chances are it is an electronic transformer rather than wire wound - not all electroic transformers can be dimmed. Are there any stickers on the fitting, it would normally state on a transformer if it can be dimmed.Dave0
