in Credit cards
I got into credit on my egg card as i was paying it off and now i want to close the card down and have my credit back. ive tried calling them emailing them twice and wrote a letter and still over a month later they still wont close my account. Its £68 in credit. what can i do. They just give the excuse its with that department and they will deal with it.
Converted comper to MSE. Thank you for all your answers!

Well, you could make an official complaint, but that would involve using the communication channels you've already tried.
I think in your position I'd ring the FOS for advice. Who knows, they may write to the provider on your behalf (as they did with me when an ISA transfer was dragging on).0 -
I realise it's your money and experiencing problems in getting it back but wouldn't the quickest and simplest thing be to just spend £68+, using the card, on something you need e.g. shopping, fuel etc.? Then close the account when any small overspend has been paid off in the normal way - then complain?0

As it's only £68 I would spend it.
If it was more I would threaten to take them to the small claims court.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0
