Hi everyone. Please bear with me on this one as I am a Mac user and I am trying to do something on a PC.
My B-I-L has a small laptop and has downloaded some pics from his camera using Fuji fine pix viewer, but we cannot see how to get the pics onto a disc.
The options on fine pix viewer are Edit, Slide show, Print or Email and we can't find anything else.

The camera should have come with a CD. You need to Install a program called ImageMixer to burn to disc.
Alternatively, Just navigate (using Windows Explorer) to the folder where the images you want are, select them and right-click and Copy.
Click once on the CD Drive and then right click and Paste.
A bubble should appear from the taskbar saying "you have files waiting to be burnt to the CD"
After you cave copy-pasted all you want, using only Windows Explorer, then also using Windows Explorer double click on the CD drive and an option should be in the left pane "Burn files to CD".
Do not burn as you paste each file or files, it should be done once only when all needed are pasted.0 -
If his laptop is running XP or later, you shouldn't need the FinePix Viewer to write files to a CD.
CD burning is built into the OS. Just use Windows Explorer to right-click the photos you want on the CD and choose "Send to" the drive letter of the CD drive, then right-click it and choose "Write these files to CD".
Here's a better description than my effort:

Thanks for quick replies, but how do we get the pictures into a folder? They seem to be locked into Fine pix viewer? Have tried left click, right click etc.
The laptop is by Hi grade and uses XP.0 -
They are already in a folder. FinePix Viewer is just one way of displaying them, and it simply has a default folder where it stores pictures. Unfortunately it's several years since I last used that program, so I can't remember where it looks. There's ~probably~ an Options or Preferences menu item which will tell you where (probably in My Documents/My Pictures, but that's just a guess).
You can use Windows Explorer (in Start, Accessories) to locate the picture files and view them (with Windows' built-in photo viewer) and copy them to CD, as described in the earlier posts.0
