    Nurses are able to retire at age 55 so if it was the same back in 1988 you only had to wait 2 years before being able to take your NHS final salary pension.

    And suppose I did not want to wait that 2 years to 1990? which I didn't. There were good reasons why I took the action that I did. It all worked out well. I've no regrets.
