Money Transfer over the holiday period

I have a quick question I transferred £7k out of my HSBC bank account on the 24th December checking today funds are not showing in my other bank account

Any idea when I can expect to see the transfer

It always take's 2 or 3 days when I do this, could the delay be due to the holidays?

Tomorrow. BACS doesn't work on Bank Holidays/weekends.

Probably because the other bank doesn't support Faster Payments. If they did, the payment would be there within two hours regardless of the date.

When did it leave HSBC? It has clearly gone by BACS and not FP, so may not have left HSBC until the next working day (i.e. today, Monday 29th, as Christmas Day and Boxing Day do not count, and then it was the weekend).

So I'd expect it to arrive on Wed 31st or Fri 2nd (again, New Years Day doesn't count).
