On fb if you scroll over settings & go to privacy settings > profile > there is a thing right there you type in a friends name to look at how they see your profile, so VG could type in the name of her colleague to see what her colleagues can see

Going back to 12 days xmas thingy - I always have my decs down by 5th Jan, it was my dads b'day so thats how i remember.
