    Hi Katie,
I was just about to say the same thing as Toniq, it sounds a little bit like Bells Palsy.
I really hope you get some relief soon.

  • Katie, it sounds like a trapped nerve either in your neck or back to me. Symptoms, severity of pain and non response to painkillers etc. Try to keep calm, tension will make it worse. May have been caused by stress/tension, an injury or increased weight perhaps???? Any of these apply? Keep as mobile as possible and I hope they call back soon x

  • Any news yet Katie love? I so wanted to get a message out to you quickly so didn't go into too much detail in my previous post, but before all my troubles I was a qualified holistic therapist, I also have A level anatomy and physiology, so not just shooting in the dark. After my last child I had similar symptoms which have sometimes recurred although to a lesser degree. It was sciatica caused by compression of a disc in my spine, stress, an old car accident and poor posture were all contributing factors. Mine is recurring at present, very similar to yours tingling lips, pins and needles down right side, deep pain in hip area radiating down leg. I start physio next week and have to address the stress which has probably aggravated the existing problem.

Regarding MS, only the pins and needles would really fit, you would not be in such excrutiating pain so please try not to catastrophise as it won't help your recovery.

I hope you get some reassurance from this and that you are presently getting the help you need. Toni is right, only a doctor can really tell you but I so don't want you there panicking that this is MS when I would be so surprised if it was.

Am thinking of you and praying you feel better soon :A

Morning campers - hope everyone has a winning day.
Katie - if you've been out in the cold and it is Bells it could have made it worse - mate has to really wrap up in winter or it comes on terribly - if doc takes much longer ring NHS direct and tell them you're getting no response from doc or ring docs and ask to speak to the practice manager - that usually puts a bomb under them ;) take care hun
    Hows |DS gwen?

    Morning fellow compers,

Hugs to all that need them - sally, Katie etc

Toni, I have had some unusual people requesting to be friend, but I usually look at what friends they have already and judge it from that, if some of the big usuals are friends with them then its ok, but if it is relative unknown especially to this forum, then I just leave. Having a problem keeping up with the parcels as it is!!! Hardly any comping happening during the day just to clear the backlog of parcels.
