I try to be organised...but have to be really forceful with myself!!

Found myself starting 2000 word uni assignments at 10pm the day before it was due in!! Was up til 6-7am finishing it off and had to gie it in by 1pm!!

This year one of my resolutions is to be more organised and start things early rather than putting it off!!
Will try that with next assignment!!

Do you know how to turn the overwriting thing off on a laptop?? If i go to add something in the middle of the text, it starts to delete all the text i've written as im typing!

It works ok now when i'm doing this post, but what is the insert person, and how do i stop it doing that?!?! :mad: (for future reference!)

It's a toggle key, much like the caps or number lock - you press them to turn on or off. In the on position, it inserts any characters you type but if you press it to switch it off, it will overwrite rather than inserting. My insert key on my laptop is on the right at the top next to the home key.

Not sure if that makes sense!

I'm normally up quite late but usually rushing to do competitions before going to bed and there's never usually anyone left chatting at the inn.

Thanks for that...don't really know where that key is on my laptop...what does the key say/look like?

Im always awake on here...til about 5-6am last few days, and the inn is always empty with no-one to talk to...so i leave and just go and enter comps!!

It's just a normal key which says 'Insert' and it's usually grouped together with the home/end/delete keys.

Thought something was wrong with laptop, but tested it and it works!!
